In the February 2022 issue of the Journal of the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (JCACAP), an editorial by Dr. John McLennan notes the need for « more critical thinking at the societal and population levels when considering the influence of cannabis, particularly in the context of legalization in Canada. »
The Clinical Case Rounds section of this issue focuses on the dilemmas that clinicians frequently encounter regarding requests for medical marijuana. Responses are provided by expert clinicians Drs. Darren Courtney, Christopher J. Hammond, and Bushra Rizwan, with further commentary provided by psychiatrists with expertise in ethics, Drs. Simon Giasson and Mona Gupta.
