An article in the May 2023 issue of the Journal of the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (JCACAP) reports on a study investigating the use of mental health services among youth during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the impact on the presence of a mental health diagnosis on this service use. Entitled “Meeting the service needs of youth with and without a self-reported mental health diagnosis during COVID-19,” the article discusses findings from a 2021 survey that was distributed to participants aged 12-25 years in Ontario, including suggestions to improve mental health services.
